Dear Physical Therapists, we have completely realized that we have pursued a career when it was immature. Physical Therapy in India has not yet established its realm. So, we are in a circumstance to assist its maturation, therefore facing unavoidable agonies. None can be blamed at this stage. A countless number of Physical Therapists are still working with vigor to assist in the maturation of Physical Therapy, a countless number of Physical Therapists have abnegated their career to choose an alternative to survive, a countless number of students who had wished to pursue Physical Therapy were admonished by Physical Therapists to never ever opt Physical Therapy as their career as there is not much welfare for Physical Therapists in India. There is no doubt; Physical Therapy in India has started to dwindle which would eventually result in ‘Extinction of Physical Therapy in India’. This extinction cannot be avoided albeit the Government of India tends to provide employment opportunities for all Indian Physical Therapists because there is only one reason ‘Physical Therapy has not yet become an ambitious career’. Physical Therapy can be converted as an ambition-demanding career by contributing best, reliable and highly logical solutions to cure the ailments of people of this globe. I coin 'Vision-PEPTI’ which is an abbreviation of ‘Preventing Extinction of Physical Therapy in India’. Let us not be fetish about ‘Vision-PEPTI’ but provide our possible contributions to help maturation of Physical Therapy and establishment of its invincible kingdom in India.
Dr.R.Vinodh Rajkumar,
